The CGH Health Foundation will be hosting the 3rd Annual Vendor/Craft Show fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 16. The event runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm at CGH Medical Center in the Ryberg Auditorium and Classrooms 1 and 2. The event offers the chance to shop from various vendors and crafters and is open to the public.
"This is a successful fundraiser for the CGH Health Foundation and we are excited to be able to host it again," said Nicole Bollman and Kim Hammer, co-chairs of the Vendor/Craft Show. "The show is full with over 30 vendors featuring many items and services, from jewelry to food to health products."
Each vendor donates a gift basket valued at $25 or more that will be available for the highest bid in a silent auction. Vendors may choose to further support the CGH Health Foundation by donating a portion of their proceeds, but are not required.
The Fall Bake Sale previously held with the CGH Health Foundation Vendor/Craft Show has been moved to a separate date, Friday, Oct. 7 in the Ryberg Auditorium.
"Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year from our special events, which includes the Silent Auction, Bake Sale & Dessert Auction held this past May, plus the Vendor Show, the Fall Bake Sale and our big Delicious Designs event on October 12," said Mary Jean Derreberry and Mary Spitzer, co-chairs of the CGH Health Foundation Employee Division Committee. "All of these funds will go towards 15 health initiatives, including the new Transportation Assistance Program, Ways to Wellness, Protecting Our Infants and CGH Main Clinic Oncology Renovation projects. Year in and year out the CGH Health Foundation is helping adults and children in the Sauk Valley lead healthier lives."
The other projects to be funded include: Community Health Network, Medication Assistance, Love on a Leash, Eyeglasses for Kids/Adults, Prescott Dental Clinic, Cardiac Wellness, Workplace Wellness, Nutrition & Fitness, Diabetes Education, Nursing/Healthcare Scholarships, and Women's Health.
