Thank you AHS Volleyball

The Amboy High School Volleyball teams were decked out in pink in October in honor of breast cancer awareness.

The girls hosted a Pink Night on October 17 during their game against Forreston, holding raffles and a silent auction. The team raised $450 during the night and contributed the proceeds to the CGH Health Foundation Women’s Health Program.  Women living in the Sauk Valley area, who are in need of health services, will be able to receive a mammogram, breast exam, Pap test and other diagnostic tests because of their generosity.

Pictured are the AHS Volleyball team members, including Coach Chris Payne, Coach Kim Payne and Coach Betsy Jones. Receiving the gift is Amanda Blaine of the CGH Health Foundation.

During the past fiscal year, the Foundation cared for 62 women. Donations are accepted year-round by calling Joan at 815/625-0400, ext. 5672 or making a gift online at www.cghmc.com/foundation.
